Orvis Cover Dog Contest

Since the Orvis Cover Dog contest made its debut in 2009, Orvis and its customers have raised over than $1 million to help fund canine cancer research through a partnership with the Morris Animal Foundation. Several past winners and honorable mentions have been pointing dogs (one of my favorites is this photo from 2009 featuring a pair of Brittanys); their athletic and sprightly appearance make them ideal models for a sporting catalog like Orvis.

The annual dog book from Orvis featuring the cover dogs is one of the most looked-forward-to issues of the year. We need only look at the photos we receive for our Subscriber Photos to know that your hunting dogs are photogenic. So this year, letˊs try to get a PDJ dog on the cover!
